Michael Dell resumes place as Dell CEO -- Rollins is out

Our very own Jon Ogg just hit this story a few minutes ago. After two years of disappointing sales, battery recalls, a slumping share price and possible accounting irregularities, Kevin Rollins is leaving the post of CEO for Dell, Inc.(NASDAQ:DELL). The founder and chairman of the board for the company, Michael Dell, is resuming his role of CEO after more than two and a half years of serving solely as chairman of the board.

I, for one, saw this coming -- did you?

This move -- not entirely unexpected -- will be talked about this week and the next, most likely. It was a move that was bound to happen, as Rollins -- handpicked by Mr. Dell himself -- has just not measured up as Dell has gone through the cheese shredder lately and the former Bain & Co. consultant (Rollins) just could not bounce back from all the issues under his tenure at Dell.

Bain and Company...what a joke! As far as I am concerned, Bain and Co. simply employes expert Microsoft graphics people!!! I worked with some of these 'genius babies' on several projects a few years back and was NOT impressed with any of them. What a high-priced, over-rated group of people!! The know how to put together great presentations and graphics, BUT THEY GET ALL THE INFORMATION FROM THE CLIENT!!!! NEXT TIME, HIRE A GRAPHICS PERSON!!

I AM HAVING AN ISSUE RESOLVING SOME CHARGES TO MY DELL FINACIAL SERVICES CARD THAT I DIDN'T MAKE. EVERYONE I TALK TO HAS BEEN OF NO HELP. THEY ALL BARELY SPEAK ENGLISH OF COURSE. I HAVE CONTACTED THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU BUT ONCE AGAIN, YOUR PEOPLE SAID I BOUGHT A BUNCH OF THINGS FROM MY COMPUTER WHICH I NEVER HAVE. THE COMPUTER THAT I BOUGHT FROM DELL FOR MY ROOMATE COST ABOUT 1500.00, I HAVE MADE ABOUT 900.00 IN PAYMENTS AND NOW I OWE OVER 2000.00. THE COMPUTER THAT I BOUGHT NEVER WORKED SO I LET HER BUY A NEW HARD DRIVE BUT NONE OF THE OTHER PURCHASES WERE MADE BY US. I BELIEVE THEY SAID 6 OR 7 WERE MADE ON LINE, BUT THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DO BY US WHEN THE COMPUTER NEVER WORKED AND HASN'T EVEN BEEN PLUGGED IN FOR MONTHS. I AM ALREADY GETTING SCREWED BY PAYING FOR NOTHING BUT I REFUSE TO PAY FOR SOMEBODY ELSES PURCHASES. WE NEVER GOT ANY OF THE STUFF THAT THEY ARE CHARGING ME FOR. PLEASE SOMEBODY IN CHARGE CONTACT ME.
